{Tutorial} Mouse Pad Makeover

Last year, Anngela, from Anngela's Pretty Little Things and I had a craft day. We typically like to meet up quarterly and work on a project together. One of the projects she worked on was revamping her mouse pad. It was a super simple project, and I've been wanting to make one ever since. I finally got around to making one this past weekend, and now I'm happy to report that I have a new fabulous mouse pad for my desk at work! I can't wait until we are done recovering our chair, so that I can use the leftover fabric to recover our mouse pad for the craft room computer. If you follow these four simple steps you'll have a new mouse pad in minutes!

Supplies:
Old Mouse Pad
Heat-n-Bond
Remnant of fabric
Fabric Scissors

Measure your remnant of fabric to match the size of your mouse pad. Then cut a piece of Heat-n-Bond to match the same size your fabric is. Apply the Heat-n-Bond to the fabric according to the directions on the package. Then apply the fabric onto the mousepad.

Next, you'll want to trim around your mousepad with fabric scissors.

Ta da! Your done. That's it! Super simple, inexpensive, and an easy way to dress up your desk!

I love the fabric I used. The white apple mouse really pops on the mouse pad.

Here is a side view of what the mouse pad looks like.

My mouse pad is still in good shape but it is plain and boring. I think I know what I am doing this afternoon now!

I saw this over at the It's Sew Stinkin Cute linky and just had to comment. I immediately recognized your fabric! You must have had a Singer house party too. How fun! I have a bunch of this fabric left over and I have been trying to think of how to use it. This is a great idea!!
Thanks for sharing!
